Wave Splitter

A freeware utility that allows you to extract a sample from a .wav file without loading it into memory. No matter how big your source wave file is (it may be hundreds of megabytes!), if you want to sample a part of it, you can do it very quickly, without wasting RAM. New in 2.x : GUI enhancements (drag-and-drop, tooltips, HTML Help file), graphical sample selection, normalization of the output .wav file (volume maximization). Fixed in 2.10 : memory leak in graph panel.

16-Mar-2003	10	rossruns	Windows XP here and no problems whatsoever. Load up the file you want to split, set up a name for the first file you want cut. Then move the media player thing to where you want the file to start (hit play to check) and use that number for the start value. Move the media play thing to where you want the file to stop (hit play to check) and use that number for the end value. Hit go, and it cuts that part of the file for you into the one you saved. Works quick, and just what I needed.
16-Dec-2002	10	Dkhoyle	I can't vote because I am still trying to figure out how to use the Wave Splitter 2.10us. I am running windows xp on a new HP Pavilion ,and I just dont get how to use it !! I need a program that will allow me to convert long recordings from my vinyl collection into separate songs , I thought this is the program I need . Thanks for your help and I look forward to hearing you . Danny.
